I definitely did not know about not needing the q-points in epw.in anymore, that's super helpful. I will disable the diago_xxx parameter then.

Thanks again. I understand the documentation isn't all updated since this is the development branch. I will try not to get thrown off by documentation for previous EPW versions. Is the best way to know the changes in inputs for EPW to keep track of the test-suite examples?

As you said, so far, the documentation has not yet been updated for the development version.
Once the new version with the features included in the development version is released, the documentation will be updated.
Our new documentation page (we are still updating it) can be accessed at the "Documentation" menu of the EPW main page (https://epw-code.org/).
