Dear Developers
I need to get the relaxation time of a ferromagnetic system. But when I use nspin=2 with starting_magnetization in the scf.in and nscf.in, the code complains with the error below.
from epw_readin : error # 1
El-ph and spin not implemented
So could you please let me know if there is other way to do this?
Thank you in advance
Inoka

Re: epw for ferromagnetic system
Dear Inoka,
Unfortunately as you saw EPW does not work for magnetic systems. I believe it is implemented in the PHonon code - even if the summary in the header of phonon.f90 says differently - and if so we should look into implementing it in EPW in the near future.
Best,
Carla

Re: epw for ferromagnetic system
Dear Dr. Carla
Thank you very much for your reply.
Yes. I think it is great if it is possible to do that. Because I know this EPW code is the only way to get the relaxation time of a system. And mostly for metallic compounds we need to add metallic behavior.
I kindly request from you to add this feature to EPW.
Thank you
Inoka

Re: epw for ferromagnetic system
Dear Inoka,
I got this same error while calculating the resistivity of my system. Did you find a solution? As i see your post is quite old.
Thanks.
Ahmad.

Re: epw for ferromagnetic system
Dear Ahmad:
EPW still doesn't support the case of nspin=2.
Sincerely,
H. Lee
