Frohlich interaction

Post by sanjay96 »

Hi EPW users,

I am working on monolayer InSe to study the transport properties. As I went through the literature, it was claimed that Frohlich interaction plays a dominant role in scattering rates. I know that Frohlich interaction is included in the calculation of el-ph matrix elements. I am wondering if there is any tag that I can add to switch off the Frohlich interaction to study its effect on the scattering rate. Any help is appreciated.

Thank you

Dear Sanjay,

You cannot completely 'switch off' the Frohlich interaction, but if lpolar=.false. then the long-range part of the matrix element is not treated correctly, and essentially you cut much of it off your calculations.
By the way, in case you haven't come across this paper, it might be interesting for you:
